Back in March, I posted about a group of high school kids that were creating music with a complexity and depth well beyond their years.  Snakadaktal, the indie pop group from Melbourne, returns with Dance Bear, the new single released on June 13, 2012.  Dance Bear is further proof that Snakadaktal is not a fluke.  The song has Phoebe Cockburn again smoothly and coldly laying lyrics over a modestly constructed arrangement of dripping guitars and humming electronics.  I’m still floored by the quintet’s ability to capture loneliness, desperation and desire that you think would only come with age.  Enjoy.
