The summer is young, so it is time for Young Summer. Bobby Allen, the voice guiding Young Summer, is a flashback to the rock goddesses that dominated the airwaves in the 70s and early 80s. With the help of Trent Dabb and Jeremy Bose, the songwriters/producers who helped sculpt her sound, Allen has conjured a soulful, calming persona, notably with her first single, “Fever Dream.” Off her debut EP of the same name, “Fever Dream” exudes a mystical aura with the low thumping of bass, soft, weightless synths, and the songstress’ smoky delivery.
